What we collect

When you request a quote, request a valuation, make a business enquiry or use the chat assistant, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, and what you've told us about your device or requirement. If you upload photos of a device, we store those alongside the enquiry.

We do not collect payment details through this website.

Why we use it

Solely to respond to your enquiry, quote for the work, carry out a repair or valuation, and keep a record of the job. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data on your device

Repairing a device sometimes means we can access what's on it. We only access what's necessary to diagnose or complete the repair you've asked for. We don't copy, retain or share your personal files. Where a repair risks your data, we tell you before starting.

For data destruction work, drives are sanitised or physically destroyed and a certificate is issued.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records and job records are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, accounting and legal purposes. Photos attached to a valuation are deleted once the valuation is closed and any sale is complete.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@gadgyfix.com and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add website analytics in future, this page will be updated first.
